Description

Virgil is based loosely on the headless horseman legend. he was murdered by racist cops and came back as a ghost to get revenge on white supremacists in his town by beheading them with a crossing sign, and running them over in his 1972 chevy chevelle ghost car.

history

  • mom dies when Virgil is 12 (haven't decided how yet). dad gets depressed and loses job, which results in them becoming very poor suddenly
  • gets suspended and misses school a lot, eventually drops out of high school
  • gets in arguments with his dad often. occasionally escalates into physical violence
  • spends a lot of time with his uncle (mom's side) at his auto repair shop and later gives Virgil a job there
  • uncle buys him a junky old car. Virgil works on it as a distraction from his home life
  • some months (year??) later his car is all fixed up and tricked out with custom parts and stuff. names her Charlotte
  • Virgil discovers street racing with some other guys, and races with Charlotte for extra cash
  • gets caught by police, spends night in jail
  • comes home to furious father, gets in explosive fight and leaves
  • Virgil is shot at by cops while unarmed. he gets in his car and flees while being chased by police. he crashes into a tree and his beheaded.

  • ​Virgil's car is left in a junkyard until some neighborhood kids try to start the engine or something and that's when Virgil and Charlotte come back as ghosts i guess??
